Makeover Monday | Hall Bathroom Design Part 2

Hello everyone!
For today's Makeover Monday we will be going over the second and final design for our Hall Bathroom.
This concept design will be for the two walls to the left of our previous post.

Both of the walls will be painted light gray.
I chose a simple light gray and white striped shower curtain so that it wouldn't over power the room but would still add a pattern.
Both of the bathroom's in our house had just gotten new white subway tile in the shower before we moved in and I absolutely love it!
We will be replacing the shower head, shower curtain rod and towel rack to an oil rubbed bronze to match the rest of the bathroom's hardware.
Outside of the bathtub we have a light gray striped bath mat.
To add some more texture to the bathroom I chose white bath towels that have a subtle gray honey comb pattern and tassels.
Underneath the towel rack I decided to add in a wooden stool.
It adds a bit a warmth into the room and adds a little more storage space.
This room has such a simple color scheme and design I wanted to really play with patterns and texture to make it feel less plain.
Overall I like how the designed turned out.
Now we just need to get started!
What do you like to add into a room to a jazz it up a bit?

Makeover Monday | Hall Bathroom Design

Hello everyone.
This week's Makeover Monday is going to be on a Tuesday...
Have I mentioned that life has been crazy?
I had this design ready to post and didn't want to postpone.
So here it is.
Makeover Tuesday!

The hall bathroom is mainly used by our guests now.
I want it to feel clean and inviting.
I'm putting the gray paint we used in our living room and hallway to use again.
The hall bathroom is located close to both of them so I think it will flow well.
The vanity is a darker gray so it won't blend in against the light gray walls.
The counter top is plain white stone.
The hardware: faucet, towel bar, trash can, handles and toilet paper holder are an oil rubbed bronze that appear almost black.
Above the vanity we have a mirror with gray beading.
I love that the beading adds something so it's not just a plain mirror and ties it into the color scheme.
This bathroom is on the smaller side so I added an oil rubbed bronze shelf over the toilet for storage.
We have spare toilet paper, a canister to hold cotton balls, a glass candy jar which holds my bath bombs and a candle.
I like to keep things that guests might need accessible so they don't have to rummage through the vanity looking for something.
How do you store items in tight places?

Makeover Monday | Hall Bathroom Inspiration

Hello everyone!
For our next design posts we will be covering the hall bathroom.
The hall bathroom is mainly a guest bathroom right now.
I wasn't entirely sure what I wanted to do with it.
I found a few pictures on Pinterest of gray bathrooms that I really liked.
Overall they felt neutral and clean which is what I thought would make our guests most comfortable.

I love the modern feel of these bathrooms.
The lighter color scheme makes the rooms feel more open and clean.
The hallway off of the bathroom is painted the same light gray as our front living room.
I thought that by brining this color into the bathroom it would create a nice flow and feel of consistency.
Plus we already have the paint!
How do you feel about neutrals?
Too boring? Or do you love them?

Makeover Monday | Master Bathroom Part 2

Hello everyone!
Happy Monday!
I hope you all had an enjoyable weekend.
For this week's Makeover Monday we will be going over the second and final Master Bathroom Design.
Our last post was for the wall to the right as you walk into the bathroom.
This week's post will cover the wall to the left of that wall, which is all shower, and the wall to the left of the shower.

One thing that I loved about our Master Bathroom's shower was that it had new white subway tile.
One less thing for us to do!
Inside of the shower I would like to replace our current shower head with a gold shower head so that it matches the rest of the bathroom's hardware.
On the outside of the shower we have a gold shower rod and an ombre blue shower curtain.
In front of the tub a blue memory foam bath mat.
If you do not have a memory foam bath mat it is a game changer and I would highly recommend it!
I love that the woven fabric adds a bit of texture to our otherwise smooth room.
To the left of the shower we have our towel rack.
I kept it gold to match the rest of our hardware.
The wall is painted light blue like the rest of the room.
On the towel rack we have two deep purple towels to add in our pop of color.
Our Master Bathroom is on the small side but I am just glad to have two bathrooms!
It makes life so much easier.
What do you think of our bathroom design?

Makeover Monday | Master Bathroom Design Part 1

Hello everyone!
Were you all able to survive through Monday?
I definitely struggled...
For today's post I am going to go over the first concept design for our Master Bathroom.

The walls are painted the same light blue as our Master Bedroom so the two rooms flow into each other.
Our bathroom is on the smaller side and the lighter color will help make the room feel more open.
Since we don't have a lot of storage space in our bathroom I chose a vanity with a lot of drawers.
It will give us more options for storage and hopefully help us stay more organized compared to our current open space under the sink.
The countertop is marble with gray tones to stay within our cool color scheme.
The hardware, such as the faucet, trash can, mirror and towel bar are gold to add in some warmth.
To reflect the Master Bedrooms colors we have deep purple towels to add in a pop of color.
As I mentioned previously, we do not have a lot of space in the bathroom so I thought adding in a few shelves over the toilet would be perfect for some extra room.
And you know how I love my open shelving...
I found some marble shelves with gold brackets that matched perfectly.
The shelves are great for adding in decoration and are another option for storage.
We store our Q-Tips and cotton balls in little jars that fit right on the shelves.
I love how the bathroom fits in with the sophisticated and romantic feel of our Master Bedroom.
What do you think of the design?

Makeover Monday | Master Bathroom Inspiration

Hello everyone!
Happy Monday!
It's time to move onto our Master Bathroom.
I wanted the colors of the Master Bedroom to flow into our Master Bathroom.
Mainly blue, white and gold.
The light blue and white will help make our small bathroom feel more spacious and the gold will had some warmth.
Here are a few images that have the feel we are looking for.

Something I discovered while looking for some inspiration on Pinterest.
I love the look of patterned tile.
I would love to add some to our Master Bathroom.
I am not sure if it will be a possibility for us in this house but I am definitely keeping it in mind.
Do you like the look of patterned tiles?
