My Christmas Party Playlist

Hello everyone!
In the saga of sharing my playlists, it is time for my Christmas Party Playlist.
As I have mentioned, I LOVE making playlists so when it comes to a big holiday like Christmas I don't have just one playlist, I have several.
Today I am going to be sharing my Christmas Party Playlist in the hopes you can use it for your festivities this holiday week.
This is the fun Christmas playlist.
The one with all the upbeat music that is going to get you pumped.
Hence the party title. ðŸ˜‰

| via |

As always, I love to mix in classics with less traditional songs.
It keeps it familiar and entertaining all at once.
Would you like to see my other Christmas Playlists?

All my love,
Autumn

My Halloween Playlist

Hello everyone!
Halloween is this weekend!
I am so excited!
I know this year will be a little unconventional...
But, I am here to give you something to help lift your spirits!
My Halloween playlist!
Whether you are staying in and enjoying a spooky feast, attending a small and safe gathering or eating some Halloween candy in the bath, (No judgement here!) this playlist will help set the mood.

I am super proud of this playlist.
I feel like it's a perfect mix of old, new and classic songs that fit the Halloween theme.
Halloween isn't Halloween without Thriller and Monster Mash but we want something to mix it up as well.
What are your plans this Halloween?

All my love,
Autumn

My Favorite Amazon Purchases

Hello everyone!
Amazon just announced that they have decided to have Prime Day in October this year!
So, I thought it would be the perfect time to share with you a few of my favorite things I have purchased from them over the years.
With the holidays just around the corner, maybe you can find some ideas for the people on your Christmas gift list.

Blue Light Glasses

I bought these on a whim at the beginning of the year with some leftover money on a Christmas gift card and I have worn these bad boys every day...
Are blue lights really something to be concerned about?
I am not sure.
Do I spend all day staring at screens?
Yes. Yes, I do.
And I am not taking any chances.
Plus, they make me look put together on days when I am not.
Blue Light Glasses run from $13.99 - $17.99, are available in 5 different colors and come with a soft case and cleaning cloth.
I have them in the color Tortoise.

 LED TV Backlight

You guys, advertisements work on me.
They have since I was a child.
So, when I started seeing everyone and their dog jumping on the TV Backlight game, I had to join in.
And, I have no regrets.
Erik and I spent a lot of our free time before quarantine watching movies and TV so, as you can imagine that is ALL we have done this year.
The backlight creates such a fun atmosphere and I can't wait to use it while we watch holiday movies during the next few months.
Backlight runs from $16.99 - $39.99, accommodates TV's 24-82 inches, has 16 different color choices, and comes with a remote.

 Sequin Tablecloth

Ya'll know I love any reason to celebrate.
I purchased this sequin tablecloth a few years ago and use it for EVERYTHING!
St. Patrick's Day breakfast, weekend brunch, Star Wars Day.
You name it, it's seen it.
Tablecloth ranges from $14.50 - $46.50 and is available in sizes 50x80 - 90x132.
I purchased the 60x102.

 Pearl Barrettes

I love to try out new trends especially when they are cheap...
The last few years hair accessories have become big and I wanted in.
After seeing barrettes cost upwards of $20 I decided to check amazon.
And there they were.
2 oversized pearl barrettes for $5.
It was a no brainer.
I have loved using them to dress up simple hairstyles and always receive compliments when I do.
So go ahead and grab yourself a pair.
You deserve it.
$4.99 for 2 pearl barrettes.

Movie Scratch Poster

As I mentioned, Erik and I consume a lot of TV and movies.
We are always looking for new content to watch.
Which led to the purchase of the movie scratch-off poster.
It comes with 100 scratchable squares attached to a top-rated movie.
Once you have watched the movie, you scratch off the square to reveal a bright minimalist movie poster.
A fun activity and a piece of art for your home.
I call it a win, win.
Currently $19.97.

Coffee Table Books

I love decorating my house with pretty coffee table books.
They come in all sizes, colors, and themes so they make the perfect finishing touch for every space.
I don't think there is a room in my house that does not have at least one coffee table book as decoration.
And I get the majority from Amazon.
Here are a few of  my favs.

Beanies

It is officially beanie season!
I purchased these beanies for a friend's bachelorette party a couple years back.
They were cute, cheap and I needed several.
I had no idea how soft and stylish they would be.
Plus the cable knit detail and pom-pom on top!
To die for...
Needless to say, I have wanted to order every color since they arrived, and now is the perfect time to do so!
Beanies are $11.99 and come in 17 colors.
I have the beanie in the color olive.

 So, there you have it.
A few of my favorite Amazon purchases.
Hopefully, it gave you a few gift ideas for your gift list or... for yourself.
What's your favorite thing you have ever purchased from Amazon?

All my love,
Autumn

My Fourth Of July Playlist

Hello everyone!
The Fourth of July is this weekend and I believe that no celebration is complete without a playlist.
I have playlists for just about everything and I thought it was about time I started sharing.
I take great pride and invest way too much time into them...
Without further adieu, here is my Fourth of July playlist.

I have a very unique taste in music so I will not be offended if you aren't a fan of every song I have included but, I am sure there are a few you can jam to this holiday weekend.
Are there any patriotic songs I missed?
Let me know!

All my love,
Autumn

My 26 For 26

Hello everyone!
As you may remember, because I haven't shut up about it, I set out to do 26 new things in my 26th year.
Last week I officially turned 27 and am happy to report that I actually did it?!?
There were a few things on my original list that I didn't complete but, I switched them out with some other things I had never done and had always wanted to.
So, here it is.
My 26 for 26.

Attend The Halloween Party At Disneyland

Went to the first-ever Oogie Boogie Bash as fox Robin Hood and Maid Marian.
It did not disappoint!

Visit Harry Potter World

Visited Harry Potter world and drank way too much Butterbeer.
Worth it!

Spent Memorial Day weekend downtown and decided it was the perfect place to view my first rated R movie, Pulp Fiction.

Kind of a fail as the wind didn't allow the balloons to be inflated for more than fifteen minutes but I did go!
It counts!

Take My First Cycle Class

Tested out the newly opened CycleBar and fell in love!
I went several more times and can't wait to go back.

I had the opportunity to work with several brands this year, including Friday Apparel whose sweater I am rocking above.
Do yourself a favor and head to their website and buy yourself something with the code AUTUMN20 for 20% off your order!

Go On My First Hike Trail

Okay, I have "technically" hiked before but not on an actual trail.
Look at those fall colors!

Giraffe Encounter At The Zoo

I legit sobbed after feeding the giraffes.
It was everything I wanted...

Attend Swiss Days

Ate a scone the size of a small toddler.
10/10 would recommend.

Disneybound

Went as Genie and Jafar to see Aladdin the musical.

Earn My First Paycheck From My Side Hustle

Forbes reached out to me via this here blog and asked if I would write a couple of overviews on Salt Lake properties.
The money was a nice bonus. 😉

See The Legend That Is Elton John

Erik and I spent weeks trying to win tickets on the radio.
We ended up spending a small fortune from our savings.
No regrets.

Attend My First Blogger Event

Had the pleasure of previewing Vintage Market Days with fellow bloggers and Instagrammers.
I still don't know how/why?

My first-ever sip of alcohol was in Oga's Cantina, a Star Wars bar at Disneyland.
Would you expect anything else?

I feel that these faux snakeskin boots speak for themselves.

Work For A Company I Admire

I have always wanted to work for a local company in Utah who's shop and product I adored.
I was hired on for seasonal help at Letterfolk and am still there!

Buy An Expensive Lego Set

$100 Harry Potter Great Hall right here.
Worth every penny...

Attend A Workshop

I tried my hand at a watercolor workshop.
Those are supposed to be trees in case you were wondering...

Get A Passport

I haven't "technically" gotten my passport yet...
But, it will be here in a few weeks!

As I don't want to share the name and location of my therapist, here is a selfie of me in my car announcing to the world that I spent an hour trying to decide if I should put on make up for my first session.
Like, I want to make a good impression but, am I just going to cry it off?

Pay For A Stranger

While getting a pedicure I overheard another customer getting a manicure saying that they were for her wedding in a few days.
Needless to say, I HAD to pay for her WEDDING manicure!

Penguins are my spirit animals.
For a day, I got to be one with my penguin brethren.

Adopt A Doggo

We adopted Ziggy from the Utah Humane Society a few weeks ago.
He is perfect and I love him.

I don't know about rocked...
But my hair was temporarily rose gold and I low key loved it.

Elsa, who?

Do Goat Yoga

I Totes Mcgoats would recommend goat yoga.

There you have it!
The 26 new things I tried in my 26th year of life.
It was definitely a busy year and one I will never forget.
What is something you have always wanted to do?

All my love,
Autumn

27 Things About Me

Hello everyone!
I am turning 27 next week and thought it would be fun to share 27 random facts about me in honor of my birthday.
I made a video when I was 25, sharing 25 things about me but, kind of kept it a secret...
You can find it on my about me page on this blog, or you can keep reading for those facts plus 2 more!

1. I left the hospital without a name.
My parents had a hard time thinking of a name for me so, they just called me "baby" or "the baby" for two weeks before finally deciding on Autumn.

2. I was going to be named Hailey or Ariel.
I have two older sisters with "H" names so they decided against Hailey.
The Little Mermaid came out a few years before I was born and they were afraid that I would get made fun of if they named me Ariel so, they named me after a season instead?

3. My middle name is Amelia.
When I was younger I convinced myself I was named after Amelia Earhart and became fascinated with her.
Still am to this day.
I was actually named after my great grandmother.

4. I am a Pisces.
And proud of it!
I was born February 26th and the description of a Pisces is me to a T!

5. I am the youngest in my family.
I have three older sisters.

6. I do not look like my sisters.
They have bright blonde hair and fair skin.
I have dark blonde hair and olive skin.
They use to tell me I was adopted and I believed them...

7. I am 26 soon to be 27!
26 was my golden birthday and I have been living up my golden year for sure.
8. I am married to my high school sweetheart.
We will be married for 7 years in September!
And we will have been together for 12 years in December.
Not including 3 hot and heavy months in the 8th grade.

9. Growing up I wanted to be a teacher.
I went to college for a hot second and studied Elementary Education before we got married.

10. I am obsessed with school supplies.
Pens, markers, folders.
I hoard them all...

11. E.T. TERRIFIED me growing up.
My sister and I both have very vivid dreams we remember from our childhood where he hurt us.
I did not see the full movie until I was 15.

12. I am not a fan of red meat.
Or pork even.
I don't enjoy the taste.
Only turkey and chicken for me and even that is sparingly.

13. I was bitten by a dog on the cheek when I was younger and had to get stitches.
But...

14. I am still a HUGE dog person.
Dogs are the best and we don't deserve them.

15. I was obsessed with Dalmations when I was younger.
Dalmation sheets, pillows, toys, clothes.
You name it.
I had it.

16. I have a hard time pronouncing words that end in "ng."
Such as sing or song.
I went to speech therapy for a day but because I could pronounce words like log and frog they thought I was fine.
So, speech impediment it is!

17. I have OCD tendencies.
I have not been officially diagnosed but they are definitely there...
Things HAVE to be organized.
I am constantly counting in my head and I even have to touch things a certain amount of times...

18. I LOVE to organize!
The Container Store is my idea of heaven.
I am constantly thinking of new ways I can organize our house.

19. I am afraid of killer whales...
Not all whales.
 Just killer whales.
They are stealthy, vicious and unnecessarily cruel.
I don't like them...

20. I am a savory person.
Give me popcorn, fries and chips over sweets any day.

21. I fell out of a two-story window when I was around 2 years old.
I landed on my family's van in the driveway and it is the reason I am alive today.

22. I am crazy about Christmas!
Christmas goes up in our house on November 1st and I start listening to Christmas music in July.
I love the lights, the sounds, the smells!
EVERYTHING!

23. I love 90's R&B.
It's my jam.
One of my favorite things is to blast it while deep cleaning the house.

24. I love, love, LOVE Disney.
I have a ton of random Disney knowledge taking up a large portion of my brain.
I'm always talking about Disneyland food, speaking in Disney quotes or planning my next trip to Disneyland.
I hope to travel to all of the Disney Resorts one day.

25. I have 3/4th's of the Bare Naked Ladies song One Week memorized.
While planning our wedding, whenever Erik and I would get overwhelmed we would decompress by memorizing One Week line by line.
We never finished but, got 3/4th's of the way and can still sing every word!

26. I am an Enneagram type 2 and 5.
I scored evenly for both.
I have never felt so attacked than when I was reading the description for a Type 2.
It me...

27. I have been blogging for almost 10 years.
I started while in high school, blogging my silly antics with friends then transferred to this blog when I got married.
It was about our life at first and then I started sharing all of my crafts, baked goods and DIYs.

There you have it.
27 random facts about me.
I think you know me pretty well by now.
So, tell me...
What are some random facts about you?

All my love,
Autumn

Valentine's Gift Guide For Her

Hello everyone!
It contained 10 gifts under $30.
This year I am going to share 10 more gifts for the ladies in your life that range in a variety of prices.
That way you will have all your bases covered for your lover, your best friend or even yourself!

I have heard amazing things about Frank Body.
Their Glow Getter kit is the perfect place to start!
It includes their original coffee scrub, original face scrub and a glow mask.
A great way to get pampered from head to toe!
Did I mention it comes in pink packaging?

I am a huge fan of Friday Apparel!
I have several of their tees and sweatshirts, including this love yourself tee.
It's the perfect shirt to rock for Valentine's AND year-round.
Because in the words of my girl Lizzo, "True love finally happens when you by yourself!"
Did I mention a part of the proceeds from this tee go to a charity to support women and children?
Win, win!
Also, use code "AUTUMN20" and save 20% on your entire purchase.
I got you!

What's more fun than a novelty bag to add some flair to an outfit?
Nothing!
Anything that is heart-shaped is perfect for Valentine's Day.
But, this bag would also be an amazing everyday accessory.
And it's currently on sale!

Essie Nail Polish $9

essie Nail Polish - 0.46 fl oz - image 1 of 9

Essie nail polish gives you an award-winning formula at a steal of a price.
They come in a variety of colors with clever names.
Gift a shade of classic red or pink.
Or get a bit more creative...
Clothing optional, anyone?

Nike Tanjun Women's Shoe

These Nike's are ideal for the girl who is always on the go.
Whether she is hitting up all of the exercise classes or running a million errands to keep everyone's life in order, these shoes will support her through it all.
Plus, the pink is a great pop of color that will make her feel fashionable while getting the job done!

I am sure you have all seen the letterboards that are EVERYWHERE!
Letterfolk is the original company that took these old school boards and fashioned them into home decor.
Their blush boards are perfect for Valentine's in either size!
Set up a heartfelt note or saying on the board before gifting and you are sure to win the holiday.

Kristin Ess Signature Shampoo - 33.8 fl oz - image 1 of 1

I received the smaller versions of this shampoo and conditioner for Christmas and instantly fell in love.
It has made my hair look and feel so much healthier and I always have the "just left the salon" hair scent.
Kristen Ess just released these larger sized bottles with pumps that are perfect for your Valentine.
Also, pink packaging!

If you have never had a Crumbl cookie, you are missing out...
This Utah based company offers large delicious cookies and changes its creative flavors weekly.
They offer individual cookie, 4 cookie and 12 cookie packs.
These shops are popping up all over the United States but, they also offer shipping!
Woot! Woot!

Heart Disc Necklace - 3/8

Another Utah based company (gotta represent!), Made By Mary offers beautiful hand-stamped jewelry.
The heart stamp is perfect for Valentine's and is simple enough to represent any relationship in your life.
You can get it in gold, silver, or rose gold.
But, rose gold really speaks Valentine's Day in my opinion...

A fun gift that is perfect for almost any age.
This easy to use camera will help you document memories for years to come.
It prints small polaroids instantly that are easy to display any and everywhere.
The flamingo color is a great choice for the holiday but, the camera comes in a variety of colors to satisfy any person on your list.

I hope this list was able to help you get a few ideas for the loved ones in your life.
Don't forget to check out my inexpensive gift guide from last year if you are looking for more budget-friendly gift ideas.
What do you hope to get for Valentine's Day this year?

All my love,
Autumn

My 2019 Favorites

Hello everyone!
Since the start of the new year, I have been reflecting over 2019 quite a bit.
I definitely let myself splurge more than normal (it was one of my resolutions!) and as a result, I discovered a few new things that quickly became my favorites.
I thought it would be fun to share these with you.
Maybe they will become some of your favorites too!

Nike Tanjun Shoes

For Christmas 2018, I received my first pair of Nike's.
I noticed a difference immediately.
They literally added a bounce in my step.
I am on my feet all day at work and these were a game-changer.
I am hoping to add another colorful pair to my wardrobe soon.

Goodfellow Crew Neck Sweatshirt

While shopping with Erik at Target I saw a simple sweater in the men's section that I took interest in.
I had wanted a cozy oversized sweater to lounge around in at home and this looked like it would do.
I bought one on a whim and now have almost every color!
The perfect sweater for lounging, camping and running errands in.
And SO affordable!

Your girl loves her some glitter...
So, I was pumped to receive these as a gift.
And let me tell you, they were made for me.
These eyeshadows go on wet and dry within seconds.
They give me the perfect glitter eye for any occasion.
I just added another color to my collection and am so excited to rock it in 2020!

CycleBar

I had been wanting to try out a cycle class for a while and was finally able to accomplish that last year.
I fell in love instantly...
It is such a good work out and I love the positive atmosphere.
I have gotten a few people to classes with me through the year and they have agreed it is awesome!

Jean jackets have become so popular.
I love the laid back look and that they are so easy to style.
Erik surprised me with one and I loved mixing and matching it with things I already had in my closet.
I also loved adding pins to it to make it more colorful and unique.
I had so much fun adding all of my Disney pins to it and rocking it in Disneyland.
Such an easy and reversible way to style it.

Scrunchies

I jumped on the scrunchie bandwagon last year and never looked back.
Why we wrote off scrunchies, I will never know.
They are so soft on my hair, unlike elastics, and add a fun pop to the simplest of hairdos.
I am sorry we forsake you, scrunchies.
I will not make that mistake again...

Novelty Bags

I have wanted to purchase a novelty bag for years!
I have had my eye on quite a few.
Most of them, Disney themed.
Surprise, surprise.
Since we were going to Disneyland in 2019 I let myself buy one when it went on sale.
And that quickly led to another and another.
These bags add the perfect touch of whimsy to any outfit and make adorable shelf decor at home.
I can't wait to add some more to my collection this year.

Sincerely Us Shop

I found this shop at a home show and it was love at first sight.
The whole booth was my aesthetic.
They have the cutest prints, blankets and candles.
I have only added one print to my collection so far but, have my heart set on a dozen more.
Plus, when you buy from them you are supporting a small business.
Who doesn't love that?

Bando Planner

I finally splurged on my first Bando Planner in 2019.
These planners come with everything.
Stickers, posters, and even coloring pages!
It was so fun that I had to get another one for this year.
I can't wait to fill it out.

Max Pillow

Even though this pillow has only been with me for a few weeks, the amount of joy it has given me is unmeasurable.
I became OBSESSED with it as soon as I saw it announced with the Oh My Disney dog collection.
I added it to my Christmas wish list and my sister made my dreams come true.
Every time I see him I can't help but get a smile on my face.

I'm so proud of myself for indulging a little more last year.
I can't wait to discover and play with new things this year.
What were some of your favorite things in 2019?

All my love,
Autumn
