Disney On Ice Through The Years

Hello everyone!
Last Thursday my family and I attended Disney On Ice as per usual.
It was my brother in laws first time there and he asked how often we came.
I thought about it and realized that we have been going twice a year for almost SEVEN years!
What?!
That's crazy...
The tradition started with my niece Baylee's first birthday.
I bought her, her mama and I tickets to see the show the following month.
Ever since then we have gone twice a year.
Once in March and once in November.

2014
Her first show.
She slept through most of it...

November 2014
She sat on my lap for most of the show so, I got to watch it through her piggy tail.
Wouldn't have it any other way.

2015
The snow cone tradition is born.
A snow cone in a new cup is purchased at each show.

2016
My other niece Stella attends the show with us!
They are matching in Elsa gowns.

2017
Another show,  another snow cone.

2018
Stella starts to come to each show!

2019
I scored some pics with the girls!
They are getting so big...

November 2019
The gangs all here!
We finally convinced my other sister to bring my nephew Ryan to his first show.

The next show in March will mark seven years of this tradition.
I am so glad we have all of these fun memories to look back on and that we got all of the big kids to the last show.
Here's to many more!
Disney On Ice hook us up, please!
Have you ever been to Disney On Ice?

Autumn

Rainbow

Hello everyone!
Erik needed to make a short film for one of his classes this semester so, we enlisted the best actress we know.
My niece Baylee.
We had a lot of fun making this together and Baylee could not get over the amount of candy she got to eat and the crazy things she got to do with it.
We hope you enjoy it!

Cave Tubing + Zip Lining In Belize

Hello everyone!
While we were on our cruise Erik and I were able to partake in another fun adventure.
I had heard such good things about it and it did not disappoint.
We met up with our group early in the morning on our ship.
Then we took a little tender boat to Belize.

From there it was about an hour bus ride.
It was so strange watching the busy city transform into the jungle.
During our ride the guide gave us a history of the country.
We switched buses for a quick minute to go up a STEEP hill.
We were all tipping and bumping into each other.
It was pretty entertaining to watch.

Then we were at the grounds.
It had so many accommodations.
Lockers for your backpacks, bathrooms, a restaurant, even an outdoor pool!

After putting our things into the lockers we got set up for zip lining.
They put on our harnesses and gave us a helmet and gloves.
After a quick demonstration we headed to our first line.

It was so surreal flying through the jungle.
I felt like Tarzan!
There were a total of five lines.
It was all over pretty quickly.

Then it was off to cave tubing.
We were split into groups and given tubes, life jackets and helmets.
We made a quick hike through the jungle to the river with our guide.
He pulled out spiders and snakes and had us eat mint leaves and insects.
And we saw the hugest iguana!
Before we knew it we had made it to the river.
It was pretty cold but we got use to it fast.
They tied us all together and the current took us into the caves.
It was pitch black but we all had little head lamps on to see.
There were so many stalagmites, stalactites and bat nests!
Our guide taught us all about the Mayan history surrounding the caves.
Afterwards we had just enough time to grab a bite to eat.
We enjoyed authentic tacos and bottled coke products.
Then it was back on the bus for our ride back to the ship.

It was a wild adventure.
Literally...
I love exploring and experiencing new places.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?

All my love,
Autumn

Saving Baby Sea Turtles In Cozumel

Hello everyone!
While Erik and I were on our cruise we had the opportunity to participate in an excursion saving baby sea turtles.

This has been an item on my bucket list since I was a kid so I was thrilled when we were able to sign up.
We met up with our group first thing in the morning right outside of our port in Cozumel, Mexico.

From there we took a short van ride to an ocean side shop where we were able to explore until we were told where our nests would be.

Once we knew where we were headed it was back in the van for another short trip to our destination.
We were split into groups of four, given gloves, shown where our nests were and how to dig into them.
Erik started our group off and was so excited that he almost missed our first sea turtle!
Luckily our guide spotted it and we put it into our bucket.

We each took several turns digging and found thirteen sea turtles!
One of our turtles was still in it's egg.
Our guide helped it out of its shell and soon enough he was ready to go.
We also collected any shells we found in the nest so they could keep track of how many turtle eggs were laid.
It was such an amazing experience getting to be so hands on with nature.
After everyone had had a turn and we were sure there weren't any turtles left in our nests we took them beach side.
We each got a turtle in our hands, counted down and set them on the sand to release them to the ocean.
As soon as they touched the ground they took off and were carried off by the waves.
It was such an incredible sight to see.

After the turtles were all released we went back to the van and were taken to Pueblo Del Maiz.
There we got to experience an immersive tour about Mayan history.

We had our faces painted, watched a dance ritual, ate food and gained some knowledge.
Did you know that the Mayans believed they lived on the back of a giant sea turtle?
True story.

It was such an amazing experience and I got to check an item off of my bucket list.
To top it all off the excursion landed on our anniversary.
We celebrated five years of marriage with baby sea turtles.
In my book that is a win.
What is on your bucket list?

All my love,
Autumn
